We understand the challenges of a modern heritage attraction and have worked with several National Trust properties and Museums to sensitively install shops, restaurants and offices without impacting a site’s significance. When major conservation and repair is needed we have arranged for these works to become temporary visitor attractions themselves, through the creation of observation gantries, tours and interpretation displays.
The National Trust properties of Lyme Hall and Dunham Massey near Manchester have been keeping us busy for many years with inspections, repairs and alterations. We are also conservation advisors to Burton Constable Hall near Hull and have undertaken major works for the Castle Howard Estate. For our private clients we use our experience of these refined country houses to deliver alterations and interiors of elegance and proportion.
